The Town of Falmouth is seeking a Seasonal Beach Maintenance Foreman for the DPW Highway Division. This position works from May 1st through October 1st, 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays, and has some schedule flexibility for the 8-hour shifts.
The Seasonal Beach Maintenance Foreman schedules, supervises, and coordinates the work of the other seasonal beach maintenance personnel. This position is a working foreman and performs beach maintenance laborer work, including pick up and disposal of beach rubbish. Other functions include preparing beaches for the season and securing them at the end of the season by performing duties such as installing and removing lifeguard chairs, parking attendant stands, snow fencing, handicapped mats, and shower towers.
Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and operation of basic machinery, including hand/power tools, required. Valid driver’s license and high school diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to pass a pre-employment CORI background check, physical, and drug screen.
The pay for this position is $24.63/hour for the first summer of employment up to $29.94/hour for the fifth summer of employment.
