Job Posting for Water Treatment Plant Operator at Town of Franklin, NC

Town of Franklin is accepting applications for a full-time Water Treatment Plant Operator. The position observes the operation of water pumps, electric motors and chemical feed machines, collects samples and performs standard analyses and tests; keeps precise records and interprets results in order to produce high quality drinking water for Town residences and businesses.

Desirable Education and Experience
Must have the equivalency of a high school education supplemented by chemistry, biology, or mechanical maintenance course work or a combination of education and experience. Level C Water Treatment Operator Certification preferable.

Special Requirements
Must possess NC driver’s license. Must be willing to obtain a level C Water Treatment Operator Certification.

Base Salary
$35,850 - $37,645 DOQ.
