Position Summary: This position provides leadership, general and functional day-to-day oversight and direction of the mechanics by coordinating and prioritizing work assignments and reviewing completed work for conformance to standards under the direction of the Deputy Director of Public Works. Also, provides hands on assistance in the repair and maintenance of a variety of vehicles and equipment.

Requirements: Associates degree or equivalent vocational/technical training in automotive and diesel mechanics. Four (4) to five (5) years of progressively responsible mechanic’s experience, including leading the work of others. Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with no air brake restriction and N endorsement.
Salary: The 2024 full wage range is $31.64 - $40.68 with expected hiring range between $31.64 - $36.16 depending on qualifications.
