What are the responsibilities and job description for the T-Ball Recreation Leader position at Town of Greenwich?
Works at the Barradas field on Saturdays 12 noon to 6 pm. Brings all equipment out on the field and picks it up after the practices/games are over. Ensures all coaches are playing in a safe area. Ensures teams start games and practices on time. Answers any questions by parents or coaches. Communicates any problems or broken equipment to the Recreation Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
1. Shows up at the Barradas Field one half hour prior to the programs start time. Checks the field for any safety hazards.
2. Puts T's, baseballs, bats, helmets, and bases out on all the fields that will be used on that day.
3. Directs parents and coaches to the field they should be using that day.
4. Ensures that you have the first aid supplies, and the folder with all the children's consent for treatment forms available.
5. After each practice and game, makes sure that the fields have the T, helmets, Balls, bases ready for the next team.
6. Maintains a good rapport with the community, other staff, volunteers, and Recreation Supervisor.
7. Puts all equipment away after all the games are over. Reports any problems to the Recreation Supervisor.
Must be at least 17 years of age and enjoy working with the public, first aid and CPR certified, background check required.
