Position Summary
This position will collaborate closely with the controller to ensure the successful performance of all financial services within the organization. We are looking for an individual with the ability to perform independently as well as part of a team.
Essential Job Functions
- Assists the Controller in directing the organizations accounting and auditing functions
- These functions include establishing and maintain the organizations accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Oversees the preparation and evaluation of budgets and other financial operating reports
- Responsible for the monthly close process and the preparation and distribution of these financial statements to internal and external stakeholders within expected timelines
- In conjunction with the Controller, position is responsible for supporting financial audits, including preparation of prepared by client (PBC) work papers, communication with external auditors during audit process, and preparing audited financial statement reports and footnotes
- Ensure all federal, state, and local tax filings are done in a timely fashion
- Accountable for ensuring that policies and procedures (internal controls) are in place to provide reasonable assurance that company assets are protected
- Coordinates and oversees activities relative to internal controls documentation and testing and segregation of duties
- Ensures that company financial records, under responsibility, are maintained in compliance with company accounting policies and procedures and U.S. G.A.A.P
- Performs other duties as required
Education and Experience Requested
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance with 5 years of Healthcare experience required.
- CPA or CPA eligible Preferred
- Advanced Microsoft office product knowledge – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with Yardi, Auditing and Corporate Finance
