The Charlotte Operations Manager serves as a partner to the Charlotte Market Director and local leadership in the Charlotte, North Carolina office. The position will partner closely with the Charlotte Market Leader to execute Strategic Planning, Financial Reporting, Resources Management, Implementation of Company Initiatives, Brokerage Operations and Occupancy Planning.

In addition to the Charlotte Market Leader, this position provides support to market-based Service Line Leadership, including the Broker Leaders and Property Management (PM) Leader. Responsibilities range from driving decisions, implementing initiatives, and providing recommendations on the strategic direction of the business.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Partner with Charlotte Market Director to achieve business objectives and local initiatives and deliver operational support based on opportunities and best practices
  • Help facilitate local special projects, such as Strategic Planning Sessions and Competitive Analysis to help build the strategy for the Charlotte market
  • Partner with local functional leaders, to deliver key business priorities in the following areas:
  1. Facilities:
    • Liaise with building property management team to ensure all facilities needs are met; manage occupancy planning matters
  2. Accounting:
    • Ensure compliance with Company policies, including expense policies and pre-approval requirements. Assist with development of annual operating budget. 
  3. Human Capital:
    • Collaborate with HC to support Foundry’s culture, associate engagement, and diversity & inclusion efforts in the Charlotte Market
  4. Marketing:     
    • Partner with the Marketing team in the design and implementation of a comprehensive internal communication program; contribute to local event planning/execution
  • Support and develop Charlotte Office Manager to streamline process and ensure office best practices
  • Special projects as determined and assigned

 

Education and Experience Requested:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Finance) and/or at least 5-10 years of relevant experience in the CRE industry
  • Business and financial acumen to understand/provide context for decisions; ability to influence and challenge decisions as appropriate
  • Proven successful track record of working in fast-paced sales environments
  • Critical thinker with high emotional intelligence and strong conflict management ability
  • Proven experience developing high employee engagement and effective delegator
  • Excellent project management ability – solutions-oriented, organized, and resourceful
  • Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and confidentiality
