What are the responsibilities and job description for the Town Clerk position at Town of Osceola?
The Town of Osceola, population 3,086, in Polk County, Wisconsin, is seeking to fill a Town Clerk part time position with flexible hours, whose responsibilities are defined in detail in Wisconsin Statutes §60.33. The Clerk is expected to have strong organizational skills and experience or desire to learn in a variety of administrative work including, but not limited to, meetings and minutes, elections, licenses, and permits. The position involves extensive public contact, providing services to citizens, elected Town officials, and other departments within the Town government. Experience in municipal government is desired, but not required, with strong oral and written communications skills, ability to work under deadlines, and the ability to manage multiple projects. The individual must have proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and basic accounting skills, and will be required to work occasional evenings each month due to board meetings.
