What are the responsibilities and job description for the STORE CO-MANAGER position at Town Pump?
Assist in the management of the housekeeping and laundry operation of the hotel to ensure quality standards are met. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the supervision of all housekeeping and laundry team members.
- Assist in the management of day-to-day staffing requirements, plan and assign work, establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve team member performance.
- Assist in the scheduling of staff members and assign extra days off according to the occupancy forecast.
- Assist with deep cleaning program at least twice yearly.
- Educate and train all new team members in their job duties as well as local, state, and federal laws and safety.
- Inspects the housekeeping staff to determine if they are working as assigned and checks the quality and quantity of their work.
- Checks all areas of the hotel (rooms, public areas, store rooms, etc.), especially places likely to be overlooked by staff members when cleaning.
- Assist in the generation of supply requisitions, such as chemicals, equipment, etc.
- Assist with regular meetings for the purpose of continued training and proficiency and keeps minutes of the meetings.
- Assist in the maintenance of linen and supply inventory. Retires linen as necessary with approval of Head Housekeeper.
- May be required to clean rooms and do laundry.
- Assist in maintenance of a lost and found department and is responsible for all lost and found items. Determines the rightful owner of lost/found items. Disposes of lost and found items as appropriate or as directed by the General Manager.
- Coordinate with Maintenance on required repairs.
- Make time to interact with guests, solicit feedback and build relationships.
- Perform the duties of the Head Housekeeper in his/ her absence.
- Other duties as assigned by the Head Housekeeper.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED or related experience in the area of supervision or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of general housecleaning and record keeping required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must speak fluent English. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and review industry periodicals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
