What are the responsibilities and job description for the STORE PERSONNEL MANAGER position at Town Pump?
Summary: Make supervisory decisions that are consistent with Town Pump standards, policies, and procedures. Assist Store Manager in planning, leadership, organizing, and follow-ups in the areas of personnel. Set the proper example for co-workers in terms of professionalism, attitude, and teamwork in all areas, including customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist field level Management, as well as office level Management, in making decisions that are consistent with Town Pump Inc. standards, policies and procedures.
- Effectively assist to prioritize, organize, delegate, and follow-up on personnel-related tasks:
- recruit candidates using marketing materials and attend off-site functions such as job fairs.
- utilize applicant tracking system for recruiting, monitoring of job requisitions, accessing talent pipeline, reviewing/screening of new applications, and conducting background checks (criminal history waivers)
- utilize social media platforms for recruiting efforts.
- conduct interviews using behavior-based questions.
- conduct reference checks.
- aid in orientation and initial training of new employees
- aid in onboarding of newly hired employees
- order, post and maintain accurate employee and recruiting signage and supplies.
- perform location recruiting review checklist and follow-up for location compliance.
- track recruiting and retention efforts and submit to office Personnel Associate
- Retain knowledge of company history.
- Retain knowledge of company benefits.
- Complete mandatory reading of “Hire Tough – Manage Easy” book. Review “HTME” guide and “Tool Kit.”
- Complete mandatory chapters in “Preparatory Modules” program.
- Assist in the continued development of all employees to include timely LMS assignment completion.
- Objectively document performance and conduct performance evaluations.
- Assist in staff shift scheduling.
- Maintain employee performance reports.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee personnel records.
- Utilize employee recognition tools.
- Maintain documentation to assist Store Manager with retraining, disciplining, and/or recommendation of termination for problem employees.
- Enforce all company policies and procedures.
- Monitor reasonable accommodation and LOA requests.
- Monitor location turnover.
- Interact with the public, providing exceptional customer service.
- Partner with public and private organizations, fostering long-term professional relationships.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
