SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST

Position Overview:

The Senior Financial Analyst is accountable for producing and interpreting reports and financial models to provide insight and solutions for management and investors.  The senior financial analyst will assist in treasury and bank management, investor management, profitability, tax, and analytic projects.  These activities will include bank line analysis, liquidity reporting, preparation of daily facility borrowing base calculations, agency compliance monitoring, quarterly compliance certifications, investor certifications, servicing analytics, profitability analysis, and other reporting and analytical projects.  The senior financial analyst will need to contribute and effectively communicate on the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting efforts while working with the executive and finance teams and will also be asked to learn and support various accounting functions.

Responsibilities Overview:

• Evaluate and participate in bank line renewals.
• Prepare and analyze facility borrowing base for multiple facilities.
• Develop and expand analysis on servicing remittance forecasts and servicing line utilization forecasts.
• Develop and present weekly organization liquidity reports for distribution to senior leaders and the board.
• Work with business leaders to meet investor certification requirements.
• Support the periodic and annual tax reporting for the company.
• Perform modeling and analysis to support decisions.
• Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
• Provide support and backup on an ongoing basis to the accounting team regarding bank and warehouse line management, wire approvals, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Reconcile existing transactions through cross-referencing of other relevant data.
• Provide ad hoc financial support and analysis.
• Complete other responsibilities as requested and necessary.

Requirements Overview:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, or other relevant field.   Master’s degree is a plus.
• 3 – 5 years or more of relevant financial analysis experience.  Experience preferred with financial institutions.  Mortgage Banking experience is a plus.
• Exceptional technical skills, especially Microsoft Excel are required.  Ability to manage large sets of data is also required.
• Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and can communicate complex financial results to senior leaders and/or non-financial audiences.
• Have high attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently in a progressive, fast-paced environment.
• Able to manage multiple projects. 
• Display creativity, technical expertise, and financial acumen to solve problems proactively.
