Job Posting for Front Desk Clerk/Night Auditor at TownePlace Suites by Marriott
Must be able to work 2pm-10pm and at least one 10pm-6am per week. Weekends and weekdays included.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Hotel front desk experience preferred but not required
Frequently standing up behind desk and front office areas
Carrying and/or lifting up to 30 pounds
Handling objects, products, and computer equipment
Basic computer skills to operate various property management systems
Being passionate about people and service
Strong communication skills
Reading and writing abilities
Basic math skills when handling cash/credit
Problem solving skills
Must have ability to work flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner
Check guests in, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room location
Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner
Answer and process all guests calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns
Check guests out, including resolving any late or disputed charges
Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions using established procedures
Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service
Take action to solve guest problems/complaints using appropriate service recovery guidelines
Follow established hotel safety protocols and procedures at all times. Immediately report any health and safety incidents, security breaches, concerns or suspicious behavior to the supervisor or manager on duty
Routinely book guest reservations that are requested either by phone or from within the hotel; process cancellations, revisions, and information updates
Perform other duties as assigned by manager including (but not limited to) guest room tours, concierge services, etc.
