The Bastian Solutions Robotics team is looking for a Fabricator to oversee the general saw cutting and fabrication for material equipment projects. The main emphasis for this position is saw cutting and layout work, other duties to include assembly and paint prep of projects as well as general repair and maintenance of Bastian Solutions shop equipment. A Fabricator will be responsible for maintaining tolerances and dimensions specified by an individual print. A Fabricator will typically have 1-2 years of experience in the fabrication field.
General Job Duties:
- With guidance build high quality fabricated parts from blueprints with low rejection rate
- With guidance work from sketches/drawings to produce parts from sheet metal, plate and bar stock
- Repair and maintain shop equipment and facilities as required.
- Be a team player and contributor in shop
- Show mutual respect for coworkers
- Show up to work every day and on time
- Any and all job duties as assigned
- Follow safety protocols per JSA (Job Safety Analysis)
Requirements:
- High School education
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and develop finished product from these plans.
- Relevant fabrication shop experience.
- Some welding skills; Bastian Robotics to help with training.
- Occasional overtime required when necessary.
- General knowledge of fabrication equipment including horizontal saws, lathes, mills, & drill presses
