Automotive Billing Specialist

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Billing Specialist. As a Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing processes, maintaining financial records, and providing support to the accounting department. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately post vehicle gross, commissions, product gross, and all other accounting associated with each car deal (20 to 40 accounts per deal)
• Verify that the cost of all finance products are accurate and make adjustments prior to finalizing the car deal
• Ensure all down payment money is collected prior to finalizing the car deal. Ensure an 8300 for cash received over $10,000 is complete, accurate and submitted to the IRS
• Confirm vehicle counts and gross are accurate
• Process New and Used vehicle contracts timely and accurately
• Pay off used car flooring & pay off trade vehicles
• Ensure the contract funding is accurate and post fundings
• Correct dealer reserve from funding transaction before finalizing deal
• Compile warranty product cancellations daily
• Submit all warranty purchases and cancellations weekly
• Verifies Finance and Insurance (F&I) data to documents
• Reconcile sales commissions & accounting schedules relating to the car sales
• Have all deals posted at month end for commission day on the 1st..possible overtime and possible Saturdays
• Assist with other functions in Accounting as needed when asked by Management

Skills:

- Ability to work under pressure in fast paced environment

- Positive attitude and professional appearance

- Previous dealership experience is preferred
- Strong understanding of debits and credits
- Experience with account analysis and reconciliation
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
