Who we’re looking for
Toyota Motor Manufacturing Missouri (TMMMO) Accounting & Finance Department is looking for a highly motivated and qualified Cost Management Analyst to support our Jackson, TN Plant.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support financial analysis and cost functions for the Jackson, TN plant, however, there could be some overlap in supporting the Troy, MO plant in some areas.
Reporting to the A&F manager, the person in this role will support the Accounting and Finance department's objective to monitor, develop, promote cost reduction activities and to meet company KPIs.
The person in this role will provide accurate and timely financial information to support management’s decision-making as well as be a key resource to support all Manufacturing Shops.
This position will require an individual to have in-depth accounting knowledge and the ability to apply it to complex issues. Flexibility and creativity will be a key expectation as our business is preparing for electrification. Many issues may require the team member to draw upon their experiences to solve problems in a systematic and analytical way.
This position will receive general direction from management; however, this individual will be required to work through many issues on their own without the continuous support of management. This individual will work with Manufacturing Shop Departments and with other sections in A&F, as well as with Production Control, I/S, Indirect Procurement, Toyota Motor Corp., and NAMC’s.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide cost leadership for Jackson TN Manufacturing management, including budget coordination, cost reporting and analysis, and ad-hoc support related to cost inquires.
- Support the monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial closing, completing monthly journal entries, and variance analysis.
- Conduct shop cost actual versus budget, forecast, and ideal cost planning target variance analysis
- Review, analyze, and route operating ringis in support of plant operations.
- Perform cost lead activities, including go-and-see activities to support cost reduction reporting as well as system reconciliation.
- Conduct monthly analysis of Direct Raw Materials, including inventory reconciliation and usage variance analysis for the Jackson TN plant.
- Provide physical inventory support & audit as needed.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience supporting Monthly Close Processes
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting for operating expenses
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel including graphing/charting and other Office 365 tools such as Teams & SharePoint.
- Must be able to build and maintain relationships with various business partners. In addition, be able to negotiate aggressive targets, while working with the same teams on problems and projects to accomplish company goals.
Added bonus if you have
- Advanced degree (above Bachelor’s)
- Manufacturing Cost Accounting experience, including Cost and usage variance analysis and standard cost development
- CPA or CMA
- Experience with SAP Financials
- Experience with BPC Planning for SAP
- Experience working for an Automotive Manufacturing company
- Experience in Toyota Accounting & Finance
- Working experience with Microsoft Power BI (including data importation, slicer manipulation, report creation and troubleshooting)
- Experience with Inventory Accounting, including inventory count audits and reconciliation
- Experience with Power Point and Presentation Skills.
- Experience with Power Automate or other automation tools.
- Experience with Visio and/or Lucidchart applications.
