Who we’re looking for
As the Technical Lead (TL)/Product Owner for a factory, this position requires an individual with robust technical engineering expertise. The TL will supervise the technical design of the product and direct the factory's technological strategy. Collaborating closely with the Product Owner, Domain Architects, and Technology Domain Owners, the TL will be integral to assembling and maintaining a high-performing factory. They are tasked with aligning the team's technological proficiency with the product roadmap.
The Technical Lead/Product Owner holds a critical role in working with the team to identify feature requirements, outline the team's technical vision, and convert these elements into a comprehensive backlog for the development team. This individual is charged with providing technical leadership, fostering innovation, and assuring successful execution of requirements. Additionally, this role entails managing external SaaS providers to amplify our technical capabilities. The role demands a fusion of deep technical expertise, superior execution skills, and exceptional communication abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
The Technical Lead/Product Owner is tasked with advancing the technical team's capabilities, concentrating particularly on code quality and adherence to software engineering best practices. This role involves mentoring and guiding team members, consistently seeking more effective ways of addressing technical challenges and designing solutions. Moreover, the TL/PO will conduct code reviews, spearhead code refactoring initiatives, evaluate developers for unit test quality and scope, and prepare code and performance review reports to implement solutions for identified issues. With a focus on fostering technical excellence and promoting a culture of continuous improvement, the TL role is pivotal to the success of our factory's operations.
What you’ll be doing
Functioning as a hands-on "player coach," the TL/PO will engage in coding to assist the team in devising solutions and troubleshooting technical issues as they emerge (applicable to some factories). The TL/PO is responsible for identifying and eliminating technical roadblocks, and working closely with team members to establish a scalable and modular solution that can incorporate future architectural changes and designs.
- Collaborate with the TDO and Domain Architects to identify appropriate technologies, frameworks, and design robust and scalable solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team, promoting best practices and efficient coding standards.
- Collaborate with business partners and business analysts to understand Factories OKR requirements and objectives.
- Conduct a thorough analysis of the requirements to identify technical challenges, dependencies, and potential risks.
- Apply best practices in code development, testing, and control design limiting unreasonable risk exposure to the organization.
- Resolve impediments as they arise and make progress in technology delivery.
- Regularly contribute as a hands-on senior developer in the development, automation, testing, and environment management activities.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s in information technology (or higher) preferred.
- Progressive experience in Data Engineering.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring a technical team.
- Experience working in Business/compliance.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, quality assurance, and operations.
- Regularly contribute as a hands-on Engineer and Manipulating data, working Analytics with Data.

- Experience working with EDP 2.0 (Snowflake), MDM, and/or Fiserv FCRM.
