Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting traffic analyses and data gathering, reports, and design for land development and infrastructure projects throughout New Jersey, and may lend assistance to other TPD offices, as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams on tasks such as traffic studies, corridor planning, feasibility studies, safety audits, intersection design, traffic signal design, roadway signing and pavement marking plans, DOT access permitting, Signage and striping plans and traffic and signal operations analysis.
- Obtaining, analyzing, and interpreting demographic and other regional transportation planning data.
- Assisting in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, impact studies, permits, and designs for projects.
- Serving as on-site project representative.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (required)
- 5-10 years of experience in traffic/transportation engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration required.
- Experience preparing Traffic Impact Studies, Traffic Signal Plans and Electrical Plans in New Jersey required
- Knowledge of CADD Software (MicroStation or AutoCAD)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid Driver’s License
