What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cost Accountant position at TPI Staffing Group?
Immediately seeking a Cost Accountant in the Keene area. This is a full-time, HYBRID first shift opening offering $75,000 - $85,000/year based on experience and generous benefits upon direct hire.
Duties:
- Oversee A/P, A/R, and General Ledger activity
- Perform monthly account reconciliations
- Administer daily labor allocation/balancing processes in ERP system to ensure accurate costing
- Review and report on production variances (work orders, scrap, rework, etc.)
- Analyze cost variances relative to standards
- Review and update costing standards
- Maintain operational and financial metrics
- Ensure compliance with company accounting and control policies
- Assist in preparation of management reports and financial analytics
- Support annual audit and tax filing work
- Support implementation of new ERP system (SAP) and lean manufacturing initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in business, accounting or finance
- 3 or more years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment OR a large volume distribution environment
- Experience working in ERP and MRP systems
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office products
- Proficiency in account reconciliation and maintaining accurate G/L accounts
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Hours: Hybrid Role, 8:00am - 5:00pm, 3 days in office and 2 days from home
