Food Production QA Manager

Responsibilities:
- Ensure all aspects of the quality assurance processes are properly executed as provided and instructed by the department manager.
- Ensure that food safety and customer quality requirements are met.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and comply with FDA/USDA standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Practice safe work habits in all situations.
- Operate scales, thermometers, calipers, and other equipment necessary to evaluate the quality of products.
- Perform equipment verifications/calibrations (pH, moisture, thermometer, scale).
- Evaluate the production line from start to finish to ensure quality is maintained throughout the production process.
- Perform pre-op and mid-shift inspections.
- Assist shipping withhold tags.
- Set up product show materials.
- Conduct end item exams (i.e., organoleptic, shelf life).
- Review and evaluate production records for completion and accuracy.
- Perform environmental testing (ATP swabs, sponges, water collection).
- Perform receipt inspection sampling.
- Perform other duties as required.
Job Requirements, Education, & Certifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic skills in using scales, thermometers, and other testing equipment.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and write English and complete relevant company documents.
- Ability to discern quality vs. non-quality product.
- Ability to understand and complete quality paperwork in assigned areas.
- Ability to be on feet all day and perform walking, stooping, and bending functions as required.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $18.25 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:
- Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)
- Quality assurance: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
Ability to Commute:
- China Grove, TX (Required)
Ability to Relocate:
- China Grove, TX: Relocate before starting work (Required)
