Overview:
Job Title: Integration Technician
Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD
Security Clearance: Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance (Interim Secret Clearance is acceptable)
Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
Job Responsibilities:
The Integration Technician will work with on-site engineers to execute upgrades and modifications to contingency DKET terminals.
- Knowledge of tactical and commercial satellite communication equipment.
- Familiar with Satellite Modems, Redundancy Switch, associated cables, and interconnects; Up Converters, Redundancy Switch; Down Converters, High Power Amplifiers (HPAs), Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs), Low Noise Block (LNB); Waveguide (rigid, flex, and elliptical) joints and connections; Intermediate Frequency (IF) cable and connections; Antenna, Antenna motors, Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPA), Antenna Control Unit (ACU), and associated cabling and interconnects; Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS).
- Experience in integrating communications equipment into standard 19” Racks or other similar communication system packages.
- Experience using standard Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) equipment, power meter, spectrum analyzer, firebird, voltmeter, etc.
- Experience in building and repairing communication (coax) and data interconnect cables.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in support of installations, repair, troubleshooting or maintenance of satellite communications electronic systems or equipment.
- Have a minimum of two (2) years of experience integrating communications system solutions.
Education:
- Associate degree in Electronics preferred; OR three to five (3-5) total years of experience.
