As a Taproom Associate, you are an integral part of our brewery's taproom team, responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining taproom cleanliness, and supporting day-to-day operations. This part-time position offers room for growth and advancement within our brewery as you gain experience and showcase your skills.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide recommendations on beer selections and offer insights into our brewery's offerings.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Taproom Operations:
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including setting up and breaking down the taproom area.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the taproom, including tables, bar area, and restrooms.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking beer, merchandise, and supplies as needed.
- Support Teamwork:
- Collaborate with other taproom associates and managers to ensure smooth operations during peak hours and special events.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate tasks and provide assistance where needed.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities as opportunities arise.
- Customer Engagement:
- Engage with customers to enhance their overall experience by answering questions about our beers, brewery history, and upcoming events.
- Promote upcoming brewery events, tastings, and promotions to encourage customer participation and repeat visits.
- Actively listen to customer feedback and relay important insights to taproom management for continuous improvement.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Strong hospitality and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Sales experience is a plus
- Familiarity with food handling procedures is beneficial
Requirements:
- A love for beer
- Must be at least 21 years old (or legal drinking age in the respective location)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
