As a Deployment Engineer or Autonomous Driving System Engineer (ADS Engineer), you play a crucial role in the successful implementation of our cutting-edge technology in real-world settings. From airports to industrial facilities, you are instrumental in deploying and optimizing autonomous tow tractors, driving efficiency, and reliability to new heights. You will master the technology and then use your creativity to change the world of logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Project Manager, our engineering and logistics teams to plan and execute the deployment of autonomous tow tractors at various client sites
- Represent TractEasy in front of the customer while on site
- Hands-on installation and configuration of autonomous hardware and software components.
- Monitor and troubleshoot autonomous systems during deployment, proactively identifying and resolving technical issues to ensure seamless operations.
- Develop comprehensive deployment documentation and reports, collect valuable data, and provide feedback to the engineering team for continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in autonomous vehicle technology and industry best practices, specifically in the field of logistics.
- Report risks, issues, and variations in project scope to Project Managers, and participate in the setup and performance of the risks management and mitigation plans
- Perform customers training and support technical onboarding of new comers
- Proactive Role in tools and process improvement
Requirements:
- Missions on customer sites impose a high rate of travel (50% of time traveling)
- Success driven and hands-on mindset is essential
- Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineer, Robotics, Mechatronics,Electronics or equivalent capabilities acquired with experience
- Experience in a hands-on engineering role within the automotive or autonomous vehicle industry is advantageous.
- Strong technical acumen and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Genuine passion for automotive technologies and a keen interest in the application of autonomous systems in logistics operations.
- Familiarity with autonomous vehicle systems, sensors, and software used in the logistics domain (e.g., LiDAR, GPS, cameras, fleet management software, etc.).
- Experience in vehicle instrumentation, data acquisition, and data analysis is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Must be willing to work alone on projects sites a majority of the time.
- Fluency in written and oral English
- Passport required as international travel is possible
