What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Shopper - Pricing Analyst position at Tractor Supply?
The Competitive Intelligence Assistant is responsible for collecting, verifying, and communicating competitive information to the appropriate end users in support of TSC's pricing strategies and merchandising programs.
Organize and maintain merchandise selected for competitive analytics through partnership with third-party software service provider(s). Gather, verify, and organize competitor data and provide competitive information to the company as a whole.- Assist with scheduled, ad hoc and special project price shops.
- Ensure timely execution of price shops, report results and compliance, and maintain price shop SKU listings and store scheduling.
- Validate and record product information and prices gathered from various online sources. Review results with the Pricing and Merchant teams.
- Assist with research for competitor profiles as needed.
- Assist Competitive Intelligence Team members making outbound phone calls.
- Fill in and act as a backup for other Competitive Intelligence Team members as needed.
Experience: 1 - 2 years of retail experience (ideally farm store experience) preferred.
Education: High School diploma. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Other knowledge, skills or abilities:
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) required.
- Familiarity with Database software preferred (queries, structure, logic, etc.).
- Familiarity with farm and ranch products preferred.
- Must be diligent, accurate, and timely in completing repetitive tasks.
