Job Summary

Responsible for the packaging of all products, as well as, provide ongoing operational support.

Job Duties

  • Fills and packages all cannabis products into proper containers with proper labeling to ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Manages time efficiently in order to meet goals while consistently producing quality product.
  • Accurately weighs and packages products and processes materials accordingly.
  • Applies Massachusetts compliant cannabis product labels that include all required information listed in the 935 CMR Cannabis Regulations.
  • Provides accurate lists of on-hand inventory, status designation, and required items to be fully compliant for sale.
  • Reviews in-process batch documentation which contains all the product testing information to ensure real-time compliance and labeling accuracy of product specifications.
  • As required, maintains accurate information logs and completes templates for packaging manager.
  • Stays up-to-date on all existing and new compliance laws specific to inventory packaging, labeling, testing, storage, auditing, transfers/deliveries, destruction, security, marketing, and retail sale of products.
  • Performs tasks following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) guidelines and instructions.
  • Sanitizes & cleans up all processing areas throughout the day. · Assists with the production line, as needed.
  • Loads and unloads items from machines, carts, and dollies.
  • Will be required to perform routine tasks.
  • Effectively communicates with Management personnel and employees.
  • Contributes to a fun, team-oriented, and challenging work environment in an innovative and pioneering atmosphere.
  • Contributes and recommends improvements for already-existing operations and processes to work-flow, efficiency, and provide constructive feedback and recommendations.
  • Consistently complies with all Human Resources-related policies, including confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Consistently complies with all Federal, State, and local laws, including employment-related laws (but excluding Federal laws pertaining to marijuana).
  • Has a strong familiarity and is required to comply fully with Massachusetts State cannabis compliance regulations and laws and continually stay up-to-date with changes to regulations and laws.
  • Reports any concerns or questions to Management in a timely manner.
  • Performs all duties as assigned.

Required Education

  • Must be 21 years of age or older and pass all background checks required by law.
  • Required to have a current Registered Agent badge in the Massachusetts Cannabis industry.
  • Have working knowledge of or willingness to learn State-specific cannabis laws and regulatory compliance related to position is preferred.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws and ordinances.

Work Environment

  • Repetitive position which may be very tedious at times. · Requires the manual finger dexterity to open and pick-up or move objects.
  • May be required to stoop, kneel, reach, performing repetitive motions, lift and/or carry during the course of the workday.
  • During the course of the workday, the employee may be required to solely and safely lift and move material of up to approximately 50 lbs.
  • Employee is required to focus on a physical task for a long period of time.
  • Required to work in an environment with potential exposure to allergens (e.g., dust, pollen, and plant pathogens) and cleaning solvents, such as high volumes of isopropyl alcohol.
  • Daily use of provided personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
  • Required to work in confined spaces, at times.
  • Possible exposure to loud noises, including but not limited to air compressors, packaging equipment, and alarms.
  • Possible exposure to CO2 manufacturing procedures at OSHA approved CO2 levels.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
