We are looking for an experienced Produce Quality Control Manager who is searching to do what they'll love - establishing and supervising produce quality! Do you have experience in supervising a produce quality control program? Do you love food? If so, read on! We may have the role of a lifetime for you!
Trader Joe's is unlike any place you've ever worked. Trust us on that. The qualified individual has at least 5 years of produce quality control experience and is a raving fan of the Trader Joe's concept. A Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred. This role is based in our office in Monrovia, CA.
The Produce Quality Control Manager is responsible for:
- Establishing procedures, training and ensuring processes are followed for inbound inspections and existing inventory inspection.
- Creating a quality control program for testing produce at the DC's and the produce consolidation centers (PCC).
- Contributing to store shrink control by minimizing poor quality arrivals at the stores by effective inbound and existing inventory inspections and audits.
- Providing real-time feedback to warehouse operations leadership regarding problems that may impact distribution center safety, cleanliness and organization.
- Managing the hiring, onboarding and training of new hire's.
- Working collaboratively with other departments.
The Produce Quality Control Manager has:
- 5 years of experience in produce quality control, a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely.
- The ability to build and launch processes, train others.
- Experience leading a team.
- Is flexible with their work schedule as the position requires some travel and weekend availability.
