Commercial Door Installer

Overview:
A Commercial Door Installer is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of doors in commercial and industrial settings. They work with a variety of door types, including metal, glass, wood, and automatic doors, ensuring that they function properly and meet safety and security standards.

Responsibilities:

• Installation: Install various types of commercial doors according to specifications and blueprints provided by clients or contractors.
• Repair and Maintenance: Conduct repairs and maintenance tasks on existing commercial doors to ensure proper functionality and safety standards.
• Inspection: Perform inspections of doors to identify issues, malfunctions, or potential safety hazards.
• Adjustment: Adjust doors, hinges, locks, and other components to ensure proper alignment and functionality.
• Hardware Installation: Install door hardware, such as handles, locks, and closers, according to manufacturer guidelines and client specifications.
• Testing: Test doors and associated hardware to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety regulations.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, maintenance tasks, and inspections.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns, answering questions, and offering solutions to door-related issues.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that door installations meet project requirements and timelines.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in commercial door installation, repair, or related field is preferred.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with various types of commercial doors, hardware, and installation techniques.
• Skills: Proficiency in using hand and power tools for door installation and repair tasks. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, contractors, and team members effectively.
• Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to door installation and construction sites.
• Certification: Possession of relevant certifications or licenses may be required depending on local regulations and employer preferences.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
