We’re in search of a Financial Controller who understands the impact that effective and efficient financial analysis plays in growth and a successful business. You have a strong background in finance and accounting, are detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills and can thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You’ll be working alongside our CEO, CFO, and staff accountant to analyze, drive and deliver accurate budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
You will play a crucial role in supporting our franchising operations by guiding our financial decisions, analyzing trends, and implementing strategies to optimize financial processes and drive nationwide business growth. Your success in this role will be measured by the analysis efforts, strategic insights and recommendations provided to senior management in support of company-wide decision making.
At your core, you have excellent accounting and financial analysis skills. You are versatile, understand nuance and have the ability to assume and evolve a company’s financial processes. You understand the importance of accuracy and due diligence in establishing and maintaining robust financial controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risk.
Your responsibilities are…
- Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to provide insightful analysis and strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- Cost Management: Monitor and analyze costs to identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency improvements.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, including forecasting cash needs, optimizing cash balances, and overseeing cash management activities.
- Financial Controls: Establish and maintain robust financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the company's financial stability and resilience.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations and oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns.
- Financial Systems and Processes: Evaluate and optimize financial systems and processes to streamline operations and improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial performance and key insights to senior management, investors, and other stakeholders, providing strategic recommendations for business decisions.
Your Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 7 years of experience in financial management
- Experience in franchising and/or construction considered a strong asset
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, and financial reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with construction-specific accounting software is a plus.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with lead decision makers, investors, clients, and other relevant stakeholders
- Ability to follow direction and procedures
- Familiar with Google Workspace & MS Office
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively

Pay: $87,000.00 - $93,000.00 per year
