Job Posting for Bar Manager/Bartender at Trafford American Legion Post 331
The Trafford American Legion Post 331 is looking for an experienced, trustworthy, and energetic bar manager/bartender with a positive attitude to join our bar staff. We are a small organization with a regular customer base and a safe working environment. Smoking is allowed in the bar area and candidates should take this under consideration.
Major duties include:
- Hire, train, schedule, and monitor performance of bartenders.
- Ensure that the bar area is clean, sanitary, and visually appealing.
- Cleaning of the bar, restrooms, and hall.
- Increase revenue by planning promotional events.
- Ensure conformance to the establishment's liquor license.
- Maintain bar inventory.
- Oversee the Small Games of Chance (SGOC).
- Make deposits of bar and SGOC proceeds.
- Prep, monitor, and reconcile registers for each shift.
The bar is open 7 days a week and the hours are generally from 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Some shifts may end as late as 2:00 AM depending upon patronage and bartenders must be flexible in this regard.
Previous bar management experience is preferred. Must be able to inspire a team to high levels of performance and customer satisfaction. As a front line representative of Post 331, the successful candidate must project a positive attitude at all times while interacting with customers.
The salary is $200/week for administrative duties and $10/hour plus tips when working a bartending shift.
Candidates will be required to provide at least 3 professional references.
