Established in 1969, TrailerCraft/Freightliner of Alaska is a heavy-duty truck and trailer Dealer, statewide parts retailer to the commercial trucking and transportation industry, the only dealer in the state of Alaska for Freightliner and Western Star trucks, Thomas Built buses, Sprinter service and passenger vans, and FUSO trucks. It also markets substantially to the snow removal industry, selling specialized Western, and Snow Ex snow removal equipment to both residential customers and commercial fleets.

Summary Description:
The primary function of the Parts Shipping and Receiving Clerk is to control and monitor all incoming and outgoing shipments. The parts shipping and receiving clerk reports directly to both the Parts Manager and Warehouse Supervisor. Executing all tasks in professional and efficient manner, all while maintaining a cooperative working relationship with other employees. Time management, multitasking, and a heavy attention to detail are required. This position is subject to random drug testing.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Check incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy
- Prepare outgoing shipments and cores for return, using appropriate shipping source software
- Help coordinate loading of parts delivery truck
- Report all parts or materials damage in shipment
- Place incoming parts or materials in stock or distribute to ordering salesperson
- Assist in coding parts for inventory control, Finding inventory items which cannot be found
- Rebuild stock areas as needed
- Help control special orders, incoming and outgoing
- Report any bin or inventory corrections to adjustment sheet upon identification
- Track shipments when requested using appropriate software
- Keep yard and all Bin locations clean and clear
- All other duties assigned by Management
Customer Service:
- Provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Greet customers immediately in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Handle telephone transactions quickly and courteously
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Current Alaska driver’s license
- Forklift certification card
Physical Demands:
- Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- Occasionally required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach and handle tools.
- Occasionally requires the ability to lift 120 pounds of material.
- Frequently required to walk to all areas of the facility, both indoors and out.
Working Conditions:
- Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
- Is potentially exposed to battery acids, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a motor vehicle service department.
- Occasionally exposed to exhaust fumes or airborne other particles.
- Frequently required to walk to all areas of the facility, both indoors and out.
Pay Scale:
- $18.00-$20.00 Depending on Experience
