Job Summary:
Trane has an exciting opportunity to join our product management team as a Ductless Field Operations Leader. In this position you will lead the post sales operations strategy for our commercial ductless business across the US to ensure proper installation, startup and world class customer satisfaction. You will also have responsibility for our technical training centers, the maturity/development of our Ductless Technical Specialist and product support for the application of Trane VRF and Ductless products. In this role, you will have the opportunity to directly impact our customer experience and differentiate Trane in this rapidly accelerating market!
This is a Remote position.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the creation and successful execution of VRF/Ductless post sales operations strategy
- Provide leadership for all Ductless Technical Specialist in their efforts to maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, advising corrective action, and communicating with customers, and co-workers.
- Responsible for the creation of a workforce plan, onboarding plan and development roadmap for district ductless operations and Ductless Technical Specialist
- Provide contracting and high level technical product and applications support to the ductless product management team including warranty and claims processing.
- Support Regional office performance through field leadership and operations personnel in post sales process, workflows and world class customer support.
- Continuously improves post sales operations process by communicating directly with customers (internal and external) and their representatives, including building owners, engineers, mechanical contractors, other trades, subcontractors, and field support staff.
- Responsible for all Trane Ductless Training Centers including site identification, equipment / controls specification and ordering, site logistics to provide successful customer experience, staffing / training, DSG certifications, product / site upgrades, training class registration process,safety standard work and alignment with technical/marketing teams for updated content and training methods.
- Maintain database for our ductless service organization and DSG roadmap / maturity plan
- Maintains overall ductless customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with field operations, customers and assigned staff.
- Identify need/opportunity for new tools and processes to improve effectiveness, productivity and customer satisfaction within the ductless business
- Monitor and maintain ductless product and application support requests. Use data to continuously solve problems and priorities initiatives that will move customer’s satisfaction.
- Lead development of new tools and ongoing assessment and improvement of existing, leveraging internal and external Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as appropriate.
- Champion operational innovations and ductless customer satisfaction culture across all commercial sales locations
- Identify, develop and share best practices (internal and external) across the region.
- Drive ever-improving results by leveraging tools, consulting skills, and change management process.
- Directly provide formal and informal training and coaching
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical, Industrial, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent; or eight (8) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience within HVAC contracting industry
- Working knowledge of all facets of construction including mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, etc. preferred.
- Passion and excitement around VRF and desire to continually learn is required
- Experience with Lean / Operational Excellence
- Passion for training / developing others
- Must have ability to partner and team well with others.
- Must be comfortable interfacing with customers and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
- Must be able to travel throughout the US - 20% Travel
Base Pay for this position is $105,000-$135,000. Additional Compensation: Total compensation for this role also will include an incentive plan.
