Rate ranges from $25.87 to $28.89 per hour based on experience
Trans-Bridge Lines, Inc., a family-run business celebrating its 80th year, is currently seeking full-time mechanics of all levels. The company is accepting applicants from those with a career in the industry, or those who have been a mechanic and would like to get into the busing industry.
Trans-Bridge Lines seeks individuals who possess a positive attitude, accepts scheduling challenges, and takes pride in their work.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform various mechanical repairs on the Trans-Bride Lines buses, support vehicles, and company cars.
- Perform other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to read and understand basics of shop and service manuals for company vehicles.
- Punctual to work.
- Must be able to provide own tools.
Education and Experience:
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Diesel Mechanic experience preferred.
- Diagnostic equipment knowledge preferred.
- CDL license preferred (required for 1st and 2nd Class Mechanic).
- Mobile Air Conditioning (MAC) certification preferred
- PA and/or NJ State inspection license preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must pass drug and alcohol screenings and DOT physical exam.
- Be able to lift in excess of 75 pounds, push, and pull in excess of 100 pounds.
- Be able to stand, bend, squat, twist, turn and reach.
- Be able to have full use of fingers and hands.
- Must be open to shift work.
- Be able to work holidays and weekends when needed.
