The Sr. Financial Analyst position plays an integral role within the Financial Planning & Analysis team by supporting corporate budgeting/forecasting activities, corporate reporting of key information, business case development, variance analysis, audit activities and ad-hoc analysis projects. 

Responsibilities

• Actively coordinates development of budgets and forecasts with department heads
• Develops business cases and assesses pricing for large customer deals
• Assists with ad-hoc projects and profitability assessments, internal and external reporting requirements, and management presentations
• Identifies trends and recommends improvements accordingly
• Establishes databases of pertinent information for use in analyzing financial results and other data analysis requirements
• Makes recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies
• Prepares, analyzes, and distributes reports summarizing financial results, segment performance and key business trends on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
• Leads discussion of monthly variance analysis of financial results for departments and segments as assigned
• Aids in maintaining financial reporting systems
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with a finance and/or accounting concentration; MBA preferred
• At least two years of experience in a similar role is required
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Vena or similar financial reporting and forecasting software
• QuickSight or other Business Intelligence dashboard reporting a plus
• Communicate complex financial/accounting concepts to stakeholders outside of the FP&A team
• Candidate must be a highly motivated individual willing to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment as well as work independently to meet firm deadlines
