Road Supervisor
Transdev is looking for a Contract Compliance/head Road Supervisor in (Oakland/CA). Our Road Supervisors are an integral part of daily operations. Road Supervisors assure us all routes are completed in compliance with safety procedures and contractual obligations of Service Providers. This position also monitors and coaches bus drivers. We hire individuals who make safety and customer service their top priorities.

Responsibilities:
- Communicate with Providers, Passengers and Management to address and resolve customer or driver related issues; investigate and analyze complaints and propose solutions to resolve trip, passenger, or location related concerns.
- Perform client assessment of mobility devices, pick up or drop locations and provide analysis of investigation to Management of safety related concerns. Work with clients on appropriate corrections to ensure safety items are addressed.
- Support all Department Managers with daily operations: including Customer Service (special Needs reports), and Dispatch (safety related issues).
- Help with contract compliance and ensure KPI’s are met with Service Providers. Ensure required reporting is turned in on time or follow up when appropriate.
- Create correspondence including warning and suspension letters or memos to passengers or drivers and communicate directions of agency where appropriate.
- Teach East Bay Paratransit classes (including requirements for contract) for driver new hire classes.
- Use Adept scheduling software to track buses, drivers and routes. Enter updated vehicle information with capacities for service provider.
- Assist with conducting location audits for Providers that maintenance facilities, driver safety and training records and complete semi-annual lift inspections for agency.
- Work with Provider Maintenance Staff to resolve vehicle issues.
- Assist with the oversight of Service Provider safety and training programs, plans and processes to ensure compliance with company, contract and regulatory requirements.
- Willing to work flexible hours, long days, weekends and occasional holidays.
- All other duties as assigned or needed.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Fluent in English
- Must be able to obtain valid CDL within first year and keep current through employment.
- Computer literate - basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiar with basic vehicle mechanical processes and maintenance
- Effectively prioritize tasks, manage time and be able to work productively with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal relational skills
- Work extended hours on occasion, including weekends, or be on-call as needed.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality .
Essential Job Functions:
- Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; reach with hands or arms; and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to sit.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; and smell.
- Occasionally required to lift to 25 pounds.
- Up to 100% of the workday is spent outdoors monitoring service on routes, transit facilities, and company locations. Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold and in a damp environment with moderate noise.
- The remaining work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer; time is spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer.
