About the Position
Become a part of our team as a Safety Manager in Grayslake, IL, and oversee the operation's safety program. The Safety Manager ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. - Conduct or supervise interviewing, selecting, and recruiting an adequate number of operator applicants to provide safe, efficient service effectively.
- Conduct or assist General Manager with safety training and meetings. Review accident reports to reduce the number and severity of accidents and maintain complete safety files (an example is accident report, I-9, bus reports, and worker's compensation injury reports).
- Coordinate compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and work closely with General Manager or Designee to accomplish company objectives.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3 years of transit management experience in Safety.
- Possess a valid IL CDL B w/passenger endorsement
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in written
- Subject to DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
