What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN/LPN position at Transition Consults?
We are looking for a reliable LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) and/or RN (Registered Nurse) to care for a young woman in her home and the Downingtown/West Chester area. Nursing professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm.
Hours:
Hours are flexible throughout the week up to 40hrs. $25-$30 per/hr
Full time and Part time positions.
Responsibilities
- Assist patient in daily necessary activities
- Assist with all ADL’s
- Administer prescribed medications via G-tube or oral
- Assist with other basic medical care tasks
- Assure all safety aspects in both the home and community
- Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, and instructions
Experience:
- working with individuals who are non-verbal
- working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Be comfortable and familiar with seizure protocol
- Be comfortable with all aspects of G-tube
Skills
- Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks
- Understanding confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
- Good physical condition and stamina
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and able to handle stress
- Must be able to lift/transfer a minimum of 75 lbs
- Successful completion of RN or LPN license program is required
