What are the responsibilities and job description for the Independent Living Skills Instructor position at Transition To Independence, inc.?
We have two ILS instructor positions available.
Join a well established ILS specialty agency with a proven record of helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities live successfully in their homes. We are fortunate to help Regional Center clients with IDD learn the life skills they identify as essential for them to thrive. Each person has a unique Individual Service Plan approved by their circle of support and RCEB case manager to ensure the goals meet their needs. Our agency is also a member of the California Community Living Network of agencies.
The successful candidate will make a strong commitment to the values of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in all aspects of our organization.
- Help Regional Center clients live successfully in their communities
- Help people navigate the changing landscape of available services.
- Help people apply for and maintain benefits.
- Teach life skills such as self advocacy, budgeting, money management, stress management, healthy meal planning, time management and resume' writing.
- Full training and support in the field is provided.
