What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Research Assistant - Translational Molecular Pathology position at Translational Molecular Pathology - MD Anderson Cancer Center Careers?

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Managing the mouse colony.
This includes organizing the colony, updating the colony software, tagging/tailing/genotyping mice, setting up new breeders, and allocating mice for different experiments.
Data Management
Participates and contributes to the institutional and external compliance efforts necessary for biospecimen protocols, and laboratory processes.
Laboratory Research Coordination
Assist the PI and other laboratory members to coordinate the laboratory research activities and daily lab research operation.
Managing supplies and ordering supplies
Assist the PI and Research Scientist in the laboratory with ordering new and back up supplies. Ensuring that the lab does not run out of critical reagents.
Helping to manage the IACUC and IBC protocols
Together with the PI, the SRA will help to put in amendments and new protocols for the IACUC and IBC
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in one of the natural sciences or related field. Three years of experience in scientific or experimental research work.
