Individuals selected must be able to respond to emergency callout within 1 hour during inclement weather, including all snow and ice conditions, to be considered for this position.
Duties include but are not limited to: Perform routine manual tasks requiring medium to heavy physical effort involving exposure to all kinds of weather conditions. Will be expected to operate plows during winter operations and to obtain the equipment certifications listed above.
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department's response to regional and statewide emergency situations.

Highway Maintenance Worker Trainee 1: The starting salary for this position is $49,170. This amount is comprised of the base salary of $40,170 with an additional geographic pay differential of $9,000, specific to the title and location in which you are hired.
Highway Maintenance Worker Trainee 2: The starting salary for this position is $51,246. This amount is comprised of the base salary of $42,246 with an additional geographic pay differential of $9,000, specific to the title and location in which you are hired.
Highway Maintenance Worker 1: The starting salary for this position is $53,482. This amount is comprised of the base salary of $44,482 with an additional geographic pay differential of $9,000, specific to the title and location in which you are hired.
