Transportation Manager

Automotive company with significant logistics footprint seeking an experienced Transportation & Logistics Manager to lead our dynamic transportation department. With a fleet of haulers and a dedicated team of drivers, we are at the forefront of providing seamless vehicle logistics services for our clients, including pickups and deliveries to and from various locations. You will be responsible for this and the meticulous maintenance of our fleet. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of our transportation division, aligning with our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage the day-to-day operations of the transportation department, ensuring efficient pickups and deliveries.

· Develop and implement strategies to maintain reasonable pickup and delivery times, enhancing our service reliability.

· Oversee all transportation personnel, including drivers and office staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, compliance, and high performance.

· Ensure strict adherence to IFTA and DOT regulations, maintaining our company's reputation for compliance and safety.

· Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the company fleet, coordinating with our mechanic shop to ensure vehicles are in top condition.

Requirements:

· Proven experience in transportation management, preferably in a logistics environment.

· Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.

· Knowledge of IFTA and DOT compliance requirements is a plus, with a track record of maintaining regulatory standards.

· Experience in fleet maintenance management, demonstrating an understanding of mechanical aspects to oversee effective vehicle upkeep.

· Excellent communication skills, crucial for coordinating with various departments & clients, ensuring timely and compliant vehicle pickups and deliveries.
