Job Overview:
We are seeking a part-time or contract Amine Plant Operator near Many, LA to assist Company in operations services of a gas treating facility. Training will be provided, but prior experience required. This position is responsible for monitoring the flows, pressure and specifications of our natural gas treating/processing equipment. The following represents the majority of the duties performed by the position, but is not meant to be all-inclusive nor prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary.
Duties:
- Regular Inspection and operation of the gas treatment facility, including an Amine Plant and a glycol unit.
- Optimize treating process throughout the facility and maintain proper product specifications.
- Operate the assigned facility equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation of the plant. This includes proper adjustments of operating conditions, and process troubleshooting.
- Responds to alarms and problems within the plant and makes appropriate corrections.
- Safely perform plant startup, shutdown, and respond to plant emergencies.
- Keep facility free of trash, debris, and report spills timely if they occur.
- With prior Company approval, set up venders/contractors when needed.
- Maintain established plant or equipment logs as required.
- Notify Company’s management immediately of operational issues and communicate potential causes and solutions in a timely and effective manner.
- Always perform the services safely, professionally, and respectfully.
- Represent Company in a positive manner to customers and the communities.
*This scope is based on an average of 2-hours per day on Location.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of Gas Plant experience and Plant Operations required.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as by self without direct supervision.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Drivers License with an acceptable driving record.
- Amine Gas Treatment experience
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
- Walking, bending, stooping is required
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator
- Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $32.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed
