- Actively participate and lead a dedicated team focused on the fabrication, assembly, and upfit of specialized vehicles and/or vehicle equipment.
- Work closely with production management to ensure that production schedule and product quality requirements are met.
- Proactively work with fellow team members to further optimize assembly processes where applicable.
- Learn all aspects of the assembly process and assist with the development of documented work processes and training where applicable.
- Implement Lean best practices to drive higher product quality, shorten build cycle times, and reduce internal costs.
- Perform functions and duties of the job that may require additional or different tasks to be performed when circumstances change (i.e., emergencies, changes in personnel, workload, rush jobs or technology developments).
- Other duties as assigned by Operations Management.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
- Requires eye-hand coordination sufficient to operate machinery such as a truck or a forklift.
- Requires the ability to read various printed and electronic reports, computer terminal screens; etc.
- Work with the team on continual improvements to maximize space and minimize damage.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, maintain and wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constant demands and shifting priorities.
- Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 80 pounds. Requires multi-tasking on many projects at once.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing. Supervisory Experience is preferred.
- Must be able to read and interpret internal documentation and drawings. Basic computer skills required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a safe manner. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
