The IT Business Analyst works closely with internal clients to develop technology-driven business solutions, based upon detailed business requirements. The solutions may automate or improve existing business processes utilizing various technology platforms, data integration, and scripting. Fields day-to-day operational requests assigned to the Systems Engineering team. Researches new technology solutions for application within Transwestern.
It is also the responsibility of the Business Analyst to exhibit legendary customer service to internal customers and to focus on productivity and results.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
- Design technology-driven business solutions by analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; and writing specifications.
- Improve systems by studying current practices; designing modifications.
- Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures.
- Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Lead and participate in projects associated with the Microsoft Stack, including Microsoft Teams, Azure, OneDrive, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Office 365 SharePoint.
- Assist with day-to-day management of IT applications and services, including Microsoft Teams, Azure, OneDrive, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Office and 365 SharePoint.
- Field incoming requests and incidents related to Microsoft technologies.
- Provide training to Transwestern team members on all technologies within the Microsoft stack.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years’ experience in the field or in a related area, preferably in a service-oriented industry. Work experience in commercial real estate is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
- Prior knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Azure, OneDrive, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Office 365 SharePoint.
- Ability to quickly pick up and master cloud-based applications and services.
- Strong data analysis skills to quickly make sense of large amount of disparate data.
- Ability to work closely highly technical team members, and weigh technical considerations against business requirements to develop solutions.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking.
- Highly motivated and self-directed.
- Proven ability to work closely with the business and translate business needs into functional specifications for technology.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
