The Treasury Associate will maintain cash logs, balance each cash account to the bank daily, run positive pay, and send cash reports to Senior Management. The Treasury Associate will be expected to use the assigned real estate accounting software(s) (MAS500, MRI, Yardi, etc.) to perform his/her tasks. The Treasury Associate will work with Property Management to ensure that all reporting deadlines are met, [e.g. wire transfers, bank issues closing accounts and questions regarding property accounts. It is also the responsibility of the Treasury Associate to exhibit legendary customer service when communicating with regional accountants, accounting managers, regional controllers, bank representatives and senior management, and to focus on productivity and results. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Record daily bank reports in Workday. Send Daily Positive Pay reports and check for exceptions. Close bank accounts for all project and corporate accounts. Prepare wire transfers/ACH payments, including payroll, commissions, 401K, Flex. Including balancing the information to the reports provided (excel spreadsheets.) Approve wire Templates submitted by Client Accounting and Development. General Ledger – input journal entries into Workday, do daily cash reconciliations as needed. Update database as needed. Implement positive pay set up for new property bank accounts. Weekly follow up on pending files for bank activity. Assist with collection and input of information for entity tracking database. Month end bank reconciliations for corporate accounts and corporate region accounts. Assist Treasury leadership with other projects, when requested. Interface and effectively communicate with Bank representatives and other fellow Transwestern members, including Client Accounting and Property Management departments, IT and Corporate Accounting. Various administrative duties as needed. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or High School Diploma/GED equivalent with accounting experience. Preferably 1-2 years of recent property management accounting or banking background. Experience with wire transfer and ACH initiation, reconciliation of bank statements and Trial Balance. Must have basic MS Word and Excel proficiencies. Experience with Access. Accounting software such as MRI, Yardi, and Workday a plus. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to keep information strictly confidential. High degree of accuracy in assigned tasks. Must be able to handle multiple projects, changing priorities and a continually heavy work load.
