Job Summary:  Follow established procedures and guidelines to accurately maintain the organization's financial records and transactions.

Accountabilities:

• Comply with procedures, workflow, policies, and checklists for assigned responsibilities.
• Ensure compliance to internal procedures, policies, and regulatory guidance.
• Ensure all deadlines and schedules are met on time and in accordance with Management’s expectations.
• Recommend improvements to internal processes that help drive the lean enterprise system in the finance processes.
• Meet expectations and dept KPI’s.
• Help drive the lean enterprise system in the finance processes.
• Follow EHS policies and procedures

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accounts Receivable work is focused on administering, designing, and ensuring compliance with accounts receivable processes including:
  • Invoice generation based on purchase orders (including applicable discounts)
  • Verification of customer credit approval and applicable payment terms
  • Verification of invoices vs. shipping documents
  • Payment processing and application to customer balances in the accounts receivable ledger, including reconciliation of cash payments.
  • Collection activities
• Responsible for processing, analyzing and maintenance of accounts receivable.
• Responsible for sales tax reporting.
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations.
• Complete assigned monthly ledger entries and other financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles so that the general ledger is accurate and up to date.
• Collect and compile simple financial information and assist senior accountants to prepare accurate and timely financial reports and accounting statements for senior management.
• These reports may include debtor and creditor lists, repayment schedules, regulatory reports and filings.
• Invoicing for all North America Tranter locations, to include debit memos, credit memos and RMA’s and daily reconciliation of all.
• Process out-going freight bills, credit card payments, wire transfers, positive pays, ACH payments, etc.
• Various special accounting projects as assigned by supervisor, controller or another accounting department co-workers that need assistance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar discipline is required.
• Up to 2 years of experience in accounting field required.
• Excel working knowledge including pivot tables required.
• MS Office working knowledge.
• Dependable and able to work with minimal supervision and accustomed to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Team player.

Salary : $57,000 - $60,000
