Transline’s Baton Rouge location, Trantex, Inc., is now seeking to fill a full-time Inside Sales Representative position.
Job Summary
Responsible for generating new sales opportunities via phone, email, or other electronic communication. Respond to customer order and quotation requests received via outside salespersons, telephone, email, written, and faxed correspondence. Coordinate with other departments and branches in handling purchase orders and providing exceptional service to customers.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
· Greets customers entering the business and determines the nature of the visit.
· Prepares and inputs all orders from walk-in or call-in customers.
· Prospects for new sales opportunities. Generates leads via outbound calling and email.
· Provides product pricing by consulting current tables to determine the appropriate price while maintaining target margin goals.
· Resolves customer service issues. Tracks open sales orders.
· Comprehends and interprets technical needs and provides technical information.
· Performs follow-up to ensure timely shipment of materials and customer satisfaction.
· Works as a team with warehouse associates to fulfill orders in a timely manner.
· Provides necessary information and paperwork to the proper departments.
Requirements and Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED
· More than two years of sales experience
· Microsoft Office and CRM applications
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to multi-task and excel under pressure
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to meet and exceed objectives
· Maintains a clean and organized work environment
Salaried position at $45k-$55k annually commensurate with experience, with performance-based monthly, quarterly, and yearly bonuses. Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401K plan.
