ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Enrollment Specialist is responsible for enrolling Healthcare Insurance providers electronically for claims,
· remittance, and electronic funds transfer Individuals who excel in this role are highly ambitious, results
· driven, and comfortable thinking "outside the box". The goal of this position is to maximize enrollment
· efforts to achieve collection and payment processing performance goals. In this role, you will develop and maintain relationships with insurance companies. You will work with data clearing houses and insurance payers, researching and resolving problems as needed.
· Individuals in this role work with insurance payers to research and resolve enrollment opportunities and partner with various Revenue Operations teams to achieve department goals. While research and resolution is often conducted through online tools there are instances where phone and direct email is required.
Essential Functions:
· Configure Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA/835) and Claim (837) transmissions through
· clearinghouse or other source as appropriate.
· Configure Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT/ACH) with payers.
· Initiate telephone calls to payers with respect to provider ERA/EFT/Claims set up.
· Manage existing ERA/EFT connections; troubleshoot and resolve issues with all EDI functions
· related to ACH/835 transactions.
· Additional Functions:
· Participate in team meetings.
· Maintain team documentation and payer specific instructions.
· Collaborate with other teams/departments.
· Follow standardized processes and procedure.
· Other duties as assigned.
· Knowledge and Skills:
· High school diploma or GED, required
· 2 years of relevant work experience
· Basic proficiency in utilizing and navigating clearinghouses and healthcare portals.
· Ability to utilize a personal computer, multiple networks, and internet navigation.
· Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office; specifically, Word, Excel, and Outlook
· Basic knowledge of Adobe and PDF creation.
· Ability to utilize available resources to learn new concepts and develop skills.
· Ability to work within deadlines and time restraints.
· Ability to work within a team setting and participate in accomplishing department goals.
· Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
· Demonstrated understanding and compliance with HIPAA privacy requirements.
· Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work independently, with minimal Team or Manager feedback.
· Ability to research and problem solve, using analytical and critical thinking skills.
· Healthcare and medical billing/collections experience is preferred.
· Intermediate computer proficiency in Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Demonstrated history of resolving challenging issues.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
