Special Education Driver

Hamilton, New Zealand

Cross Country Rentals are looking for Casual SESTA Drivers in the Hamilton areas. We provide specialised transport for students in our community who require a little extra care.

You may be semi-retired looking for something worthwhile to fill in your spare time, whilst giving back to your local community!

The role :

  • Provide safe & reliable transport for school-aged children with a range of disabilities delivering them to and from school on time.
  • Typically, mornings and afternoons during the school term with several routes available.
  • Casual / On-call positions are available.
  • Full Training will be provided by our approved driver trainers.

About you :

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
  • A positive and caring manner with empathy towards young people.
  • Physically fit & enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
  • You will be a safe & confident driver with a clean driving record.
  • Full Class 1 Drivers Licence held for at least 2 years.
  • A Passenger Endorsement is preferred, but not essential as assistance may be given to obtain for the right candidate.
  • Ability to pass a background / police check.
