Reservation Agent

Summary

Our high-performing Reservations team is looking for individuals with the talent to deliver exceptional and distinctive service to our guests. We are hiring Full-Time staff to join our department to assist guests with making and modifying reservations and providing information about our destination.

The Reservation Agent processes all incoming reservation calls and emails with efficiency and professionalism. Agent are able to make reservations, cancellations and answer questions on rates, resort facilities, services and special promotions; identify guest reservation needs; and determine appropriate room/rate type. Reservation agents explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies; accommodate and document special requests; follow sales techniques to maximize revenue; input and access data in reservation system; and follow proper escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns.

Responsibilities:

• Imputing reservations into the PMS efficiently and timely with the utmost accuracy.
• Answers inquiries of room rates, outlets, room locations, resort events and activities.
• Assists guests with booking restaurant and spa.
• Accommodates all guests’ special requests in a professional manner and effectively communicates with all the departments.
• Respond to guest inquiry via email or phone calls with the utmost professionalism and with thorough and accurate responses.
• Completes all necessary projects by the assigned times. Completes documents as directed and to specifications.
• Maintains an up-to-date working knowledge of all room types, resort amenities and special events.
• Maximizes revenue and cash flow by promoting resort services, special hotel programs, packages and upgrades when appropriate.
• Maintain and ensure a high level of professionalism throughout the department and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
• Prior hotel or hospitality experience preferred. Previous reservations experience preferred.
• Must be able to type accurately
• Excellent communication skills.
• Technical proficiency (basic computer applications).
• Attention to detail.
• Customer service experience.
• Strong organizational and time management discipline.
• Understanding of hospitality operating systems.
• Operate effectively in stressful situations.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to adapt to changing guest needs.
