CNC Machine Shop Setup / Lead

We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist that would be responsible for doing setups on the VMCs and Lathes. We have 5 Haas Mills and 2 Haas Lathes. Must have the willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers.

Responsibilities

  • Keep Machines Running as much as possible
  • Setup VMCs with occasional 4th axis rotary table
  • Setup Live Tooling and Dual Spindle lathe
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Complete first articles to approve parts
  • Fix issues that might occur during the shift
  • Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final product

Skills

  • Must be able to keep machine running with minimal supervision
  • Proven experience as a machine operator
  • Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
  • Understanding of production procedures
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
  • Analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn
  • Common knowledge of GD&T

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
