JOB SUMMARY:
Provide professional construction management oversight to ensure timely project completion, maintain TA quality throughout construction and prevent cost overruns. Implement emergency capital projects, over $100k, from inception to turnover. Lead the FMT certification process. During planned construction site visits, actively train and support the Centralized Facilities program.
PRIMARY DUTIES:

Project management and oversight of construction related activities through third party consultants for new build and refreshes throughout the assigned region- Receive, execute and manage large emergency repairs from the Facilities team (over $100k)
- Provide weekly key metric updates to Master Construction Schedule, including management of Open dates
- Working closely with the Design Manager, drive approval process for site and floor plans by being the conduit of information flow between TA stakeholders (real estate, Hospitality, IT, etc.) and third-party consultants
- High level of communication with TA stakeholders and keep VP and Director of Construction apprised of any critical items or situations having impact on project delivery or cost
- Maintain department policy and procedure regarding budgets, payments and change orders. Facilitate issues regarding payments with appropriate TA team members
- Coordinate with FF&E Manager for all needed FF&E to support ongoing projects while communicating any scheduling changes based on site conditions
- Conduct detailed project kick-offs, project turnovers and punchlists, ensuring all open punch items are cured within 45 days from project completion
- Support and participate in the FMT (Facility Maintenance Technician) certification program
- Perform maintenance site walk-through visits, in conjunction with planned project visits, for the purpose of training appropriate site personnel on the use of ServiceChannel and the Centralized Facilities Management program.
- Complete site visits and project review meetings per the published project schedule
- When needed, support both the Environmental and Franchise teams with project and/or site support
- Using file structure hierarchy, maintain consistent and accurate project files.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires extensive sitting, viewing and utilizing computer equipment, keyboarding, listening and speaking with telephone equipment, walking and occasionally lifting 10 to 40 lbs. Field travel required via automobile and/or airplane. While not traveling, position has no exposure to adverse working conditions.
EDUCATION:
Associate degree in Construction Management or equivalent work experience with a Bachelor’s degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
4-7 years construction operations experience required with previous supervisory experience.- Strong negotiating and project management skills required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with a variety of internal and external partners.
- Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment with tolerance to ambiguity and changing priorities
- Gas/oil or C-store experience a plus.
