GENERAL SUMMARY

This is a multi-purpose position that will be responsible for managing the Rental Department at your dealership and selling RVs while creating and participating in community events. With the goal of generating exposure for Travelcamp, you will help to ensure Travelcamp is a strong, notable name in the community. This position will receive a base salary along with commissions earned on rental sales from the Rental Manager’s pay plan along with the standard unit commission per the Product Specialist Pay Plan.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Rentals

· Manage the rental process from start to finish. Help clients with product selection, negotiate terms and ultimately finalize rental reservations.

· Responsible for following up with existing and past customers as well as potential leads that will come from walk-ins, phone calls and other electronic inquiries from our website and other third-party reservation systems.

· Manage rental fleet at your location to make sure the RVs are properly maintained, clean and ready for customers to enjoy.

· Help forecast, develop, and manage market plan to grow rental revenue over previous year.

Sales

· Responsible for becoming an expert in every product that we sell with a goal to effectively work with potential RV buyers to find the right RVs to match their needs.

· You should be fully capable of both the traditional face-to-face and the Internet-Specific RV sales processes.

· The expectation is a minimum of 4 units delivered per month. You can expect a monthly review to assess performance and determine that minimum production expectations are being met. Management will work closely with you to assist in lifting your performance to meet expectations.

· Employees in this position will have 60 days to ramp up sales to meet the monthly minimum production expectations (sales quota) and the monthly performance assessment will begin month three. Two consecutive months in a row of not meeting production expectations may result in termination.

Events and Community Outreach

· Be the face of Travelcamp to the local community related to events

· Conduct at least 1 offsite event per month in community where there is an opportunity to showcase Travelcamp.

· Conduct 1 onsiteevent per month at the dealership to help drive foot traffic to the dealership. These events will be planned and conducted with close communication with the General Manager and General Sales Manager of the dealership.

· Participate in chamber of commerce or other local networking groups.

· Update the events schedule on the internal Travelcamp website and coordinate with Marketing staff for digital media marketing and promotional materials.

· Participate in bi-weekly calls with other location Rental & Event Managers at other Travelcamp stores to share ideas, successes, and opportunities.

REQUIRED SKILLS FOR POSITION

· Must enjoy building relationships with customers and networking within the local community.

· Excellent communication skills in both verbal and in writing.

· Must be social media savvy and work with Marketing to help build a social media presence across the major social media sites to showcase the Travelcamp events and fundraising or any other community participation.

· Basic project management skills in time management, scheduling other people and coordinating events as well as vendors for events.

· Basic administrative and office skills to manage paperwork in coordinating events, budgets, and people.

· Ability to establish good internal working relationships with service department and product specialists to facilitate RV sales.

Reporting

· This position will be managed by both the General Manager of the Dealership as well as the Rental Operations Director. The General Manager will manage the sales, store-related human resource activities and day-to-day responsibilities. The Rental Operations Director will manage specific rental-related responsibilities.

· Send weekly updates to management that will include an updated events schedule showing any events performed during the week and what is upcoming.

· Send weekly Rental Leads/Unit Tracker Report to Rental Operations Director.

· After every event, upload a recap of the event to the internal company website as well as include pictures and an excel list of all registrations.

· Quarterly Rental Assessment to measure dealership year-over-year rental revenue increases.

*Employes in this position are expected to follow the Product Specialist work schedule that includes working on Saturdays and every other Sunday. They also get either Tuesday or Thursday off each week. Work schedule is subject to change by location based on the needs of the General Manager/General Sales Manager and the store.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
